Chortney B. Ruesch, CPA, CGMA
Mr. Ruesch grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He studied Accounting at the University of Utah and received a Master of Professional Accountancy in Taxation from the University of Utah. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Utah and may practice in Utah and reciprocity states as well as before the IRS. He also holds the CGMA designation (Chartered Global Management Accountant).
Mr. Ruesch began his career working for a local CPA firm specializing in Business Valuations, Litigation Consulting, Economic Loss Determination, Forensic Accounting and Marital Asset Dissolution. He worked on over 260 different engagements across many industries.
Following his time in public accounting he went to work in industry as a Finance and Administration Manager, Area Controller, Finance and Planning Manager and a Director of Finance, Planning and Analysis for two Fortune 500 companies.
During this time period he would also help businesses and people with their planning and tax preparation needs. He returned to Salt Lake to be closer to family and pursue his strange love of taxes, providing his services on a full-time basis. He loves educating clients on what their numbers mean and how they can use them to grow. He enjoys coaching clients to reach their dreams and goals.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
He has a wonderful and supportive wife and they have three boys. He enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking, backpacking, oil painting, travel and spending time with his family.
